Day 1 Team’24
If you missed the other Team blogs, please see Day2 or Day3 here.
Wow. And we are off. Yesterday, Tuesday 30th April we start our Team 24 week. It is still surprising how quick today came around. I forget every year just how crazy this week can be but as soon as you start seeing people from the ecosystem it all starts coming back.
Yesterday was the opening day of Team. It is also the community and partner day. This year I am proud to also be attending as a community leader after being accepted last year.
before we get to everything that happened, I just need to touch on some very exciting news that was released earlier this week. Atlassian are extending their services with the acquisition of Optic. Optic functionality will be directly implemented into Compass strengthening the way engineers work with API documentation. In today’s development world, APIs are a necessity to share information between the micro services of our products. This functionality will enable more around this. So with my new found role what additional things did I learn yesterday? Well, straight away, it was a lot of fun. It is obvious the community is growing year on year as more of us leaders get out to Team and work together to share ideas on how to improve what we do to better serve you. Events attendees and registrations are up by 50% even with a slight decrease on the number of events we are doing. I couldn’t be more happy to have joined the community team.
Outside of the community day there was of course the opening keynote. An amazing talk with Mike and two brilliant AI experts. It really dove deep into the ethics and the way we will work with AI in the future. “It will be an enabler”. “We shouldn’t fear AI” Two amazing themes that ran through that talk.
Check out the full deep dive in my Team24 Day 1 vlog below, where I will be providing a quick snapshot of all information learned and some opinions from in and around the ecosystem.
Until tomorrow.
